April 27, 2013 – National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Spring is a great time to get organized and a great place to start is in your medicine cabinet!

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has scheduled another National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day which will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.   In the five previous Take-Back events, DEA, in conjunction with state and local law enforcement partners, have collected more than 2 million pounds (1,018 tons) of prescription medications which were removed from circulation.

Secure and responsible disposal of unused drugs is important in keeping our homes safe and organized.  You can find more information on collection centers in your area on the DEA website.
